That land is all my own, full of optimism, and wonder, and hopefully magic!!!!
Got an adorable surprise in the mail today upon my arrival home after a long day, the cutest mug! no note, no return address, just a really sweet mug all wrapped up on my doorstep, and addressed to me.
AND if that wasn't enough got a phone call from a magician in Edmonton asking if he could keep my name and number on file for Christmas shows.

fishnets, and pasties and tassels... OH MY!

I love the wizard of oz, and while I had no ruby slippers last night, there was no place like home when i finally crawled into bed, sore feet, but high spirits.
Dancing was great, some unexpected visitors even came to watch me perform. Although as was speculated, performance date had a high "drop out rate" as a third of the group did not show up, but we made due on our tiny little stage, and managed to generate a lot of hoots and hollars as well as some polite applause.

Then it was my high school reunion, which sadly is nothing like the ones in the movies (romy and michelles anyone?) and left me feeling like I could have skipped it and still have been complete today. I think Facebook has ruined the need for the high school reunion. And I always thought such events would be planned by the school, and held at the school itself, or where the graduation was held.
Not planned by the students and held in a section of a local bar or pub.

Oh well, I can now safely say "I've done it"

I feel like crap today, UGH, my throat hurts so bad...
BUT the show and the shoot must go on!
So time to do my hair and makeup, and go do this!!!!

Dance class

is over.... sad... I know.
I perform on Saturday though, so that's exciting.

I need to be on a stage again... even if its dancing, I miss the stage, of course I'd prefer to be shoved inside tiny boxes, and cut in half, and made to reappear..... but this will have to do... for now.

I may have only been a small part, but I am still excited. AND I got to go in a new trick... the shadow box!

My bags are packed!!

I hope I brought enough... Thats right I said BAGS are packed, for one tiny little shoot..
I don't think I've ever brought this much to a photoshoot before.
I am very excited to finally work with this photographer, will update tonight on the shoot and how it went!
Even more excited for promo shots, which gets this ball rolling!

Frustrations.

So I'm getting nervous for the shoot... Its our first shoot, which means this is really happening....but makeup cancelled, and has been re-booked, so thats good.
T-minus 2.5 hours, and I feel like I have so much still to do.
change my nail color, sadly there was no time to touch up my hair..
Figure out wardrobe..... one illusion has a set wardrobe, the other has not been decided yet.
Pack wardrobe, makeup, shoes, etc...
then GO!!!
I CANT WAIT!!

Its so dark . . .

and I can't sleep...
I must be excited about promo photos tomorrow, thats step 1.
then we can get some shows, and all will be well.
So I have decided to start a blog about this . . .  and we will see where it goes. I can't promise how often I'll update, or that it will be exciting and entertaining. And no I won't say how the magic is done (thats rule #1). But hopefully exciting things will start coming my way soon!!
